Man Robs Washtenaw County Bank With Rifle [PHOTOS]

YPSILANTI (WWJ) -- Police in Washtenaw County are on the lookout for a suspect after shots were fired during a bank robbery in Ypsilanti Township on Friday.

The robbery happened inside of a Chase Bank on Whittaker Rd. near Stony Creek Rd. just after 5 p.m. Friday. Officials say a man with a rifle -- his face completely covered with a mask -- fired off shots while demanding cash before fleeing the scene.

No one was injured. The amount of money stolen was not reported.

Police describe the suspect as a 6-foot-1 male last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie and khaki colored pants.
