Woman Crashes Into Patrol Car Outside Shelby Township Police Station

SHELBY TWP. (WWJ) - It was a scary few moments but no one was hurt when a woman crashed her car into an unmarked police vehicle.

It happened Friday morning, right in front of the Shelby Township Police Department at the Shelby Township Municipal Campus on Van Dyke Ave.

Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 that the driver, who had two kids with her in the car, experienced an unspecified "medical emergency" just before the accident.

She was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, but police said there were no injuries in the crash.

The woman's husband picked up the children and took them home.

Police said no charges are expected to be filed.
