DETROIT (WWJ) – Authorities say a woman’s body was pulled from the Detroit River after it was spotted by a man fishing at a park.

The body was recovered just before noon Tuesday along the shore of Alfred Brush Ford Park, near Lenox Street.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine a cause of death.

At this point, the woman remains unidentified. She’s described as African-American and between 20- and 30-years-old.

An investigation is ongoing.
