WESTLAND (WWJ) — Police in Westland are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect seen on camera during the robbery of a gas station last week.

The subject was seen entering a Speedway on Cherry Hill Rd. and Newburgh Rd. on October 8. He was caught on surveillance camera walking around for a short time before approaching the counter to make a purchase.

During the exchange, the subject revealed a firearm and demanded money from the cashier. The cashier complied and the subject left without causing any harm to the cashier.

The subject fled in a dark-colored car, possibly a 2009 Ford Fusion.
