WESTLAND (WWJ) — Police in Westland are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect seen on camera during the robbery of a gas station last week.
The subject was seen entering a Speedway on Cherry Hill Rd. and Newburgh Rd. on October 8. He was caught on surveillance camera walking around for a short time before approaching the counter to make a purchase.
During the exchange, the subject revealed a firearm and demanded money from the cashier. The cashier complied and the subject left without causing any harm to the cashier.
The subject fled in a dark-colored car, possibly a 2009 Ford Fusion.

Police describe the subject a black male with a dark complexion, possibly in his late 20s. He is believed to be about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.
He is seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt with orange strings, and a white baseball hat with “Detroit” written on it.
