DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are hoping the public can help locate a 56-year-old woman who seemingly disappeared after showing signs that she suffered a stroke.

Yvonne Morgan-Honesto was last seen around 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, visiting her mother in the 500 block of Schroeder, near West Jefferson Avenue and Waterman Street in southwest Detroit.

Morgan-Honesto's daughter told police that when she was leaving the location, she began showing signs of a stroke. She was encouraged to go to the hospital but refused and left on her own in her blue GMC Envoy, according to police. No one has been able to contact her since.

Morgan-Honesto is described as a black female with a medium brown complexion, 5'6" tall and 170 lbs. with short brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray zip up hoody, dark blue pants and black shoes. Family members say she is in good physical condition but takes medication for health related concerns.

Anyone who has seen Morgan-Honesto or knows of her whereabouts is urged to contact police at 313-596-1101 or 131-596-1140.
