Man Trying To Sell Nike Air Jordans Is Robbed Of Shoes, Earrings, iPhone

YPSILANTI TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities say a man was just trying to sell some shoes, but ended up getting robbed instead.

The incident happened around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Marcus Street near Nancy Park, in the area of Grove Street and Harris Road in Ypsilanti Township.

According to police, the victim went to the area to sell a pair of Nike Air Jordan shoes. Upon his arrival, police say the victim met with the potential buyer and another person he didn't know.

As the victim and the buyer were talking, police say the third person placed a gun to the victim's chin and began reaching into his pockets. The buyer then stuck a handgun into his rib cage, according to police.

The two suspects stole the shoes, along with a pair of gold earrings, $80 in cash and the victim's iPhone 6. Both suspects then fled the area.

Investigators are asking the public for help identifying the suspects, but don't have very specific descriptions.

The first suspect is described only as a black male. The second suspect is described as a black male approximately 5'8" tall and 150 pounds.
