YPSILANTI TWP. (WWJ) – Police and Crime Stoppers are asking the public for help to identify two men wanted for an armed robbery and assault at a Dairy Mart store in Ypsilanti Township.

It happened Monday, Oct. 17, in the 2300 block of Grove Road near Rawsonville and Bridge Road — and now a $1,000 reward is being offered for tips in the case.

According to police, a man wearing a mask and armed with a pistol entered the store at 12:40 a.m. and struck one victim in the head. He then took the cash from the cash register and retrieved a shotgun that was sitting near the register.

That’s when a second masked suspect entered store and the pair fled the scene with the cash, the shotgun and the victim’s personal items.

Suspect number one is a black male with a heavy build. He was wearing what was described as a silver hockey-style Halloween mask and gloves and was carrying a semi-automatic pistol.

Suspect number two is a black make with a medium build and was wearing a silver Halloween mask and gloves.

Crime Stoppers reminds the public that these suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
