Tips Wanted, Reward Offered To ID Macomb Mall Diamond Thief [PHOTOS]

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for tips to catch a jewelry thief in Macomb County.

According to Crime Stoppers, the crime happened Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Macomb Mall in Roseville.

Police said the suspect asked a clerk at Zales Jewelry Store to see a ring in a case. The clerk too it out, handed it to the man and he ran out of the mall towards 14 Mile Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 to 30 years old, 5'8" tall and 180 lbs. He has long dreadlocks in a ponytail with his head shaved on the sides.

No one was injured.

Security camera photos of the suspect were released to the media in hope that someone will recognize him.
