Is Kyle Van Noy Throwing Shade The Lions Way?

When it was announced Tuesday that the Lions traded Kyle Van Noy to the New England Patriots, many Lions fans were left confused.

The Lions are a little thin at linebacker and trading their starting LB seemed odd.

In return for Van Noy and a seventh round draft pick, the Lions received a sixth round in the NFL Draft.

Now it seems as if Van Noy is a scorned lover. According to Kevin Duffy, who is the beat writer for the New England Patriots from MassLive, Van Noy had some not very nice things to say about his former team:

"Kyle Van Noy says the Lions "didn't know where to put me."

"Here, they want me and I'm happy to be wanted."

When the Lions drafted Van Noy in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft that actually wanted him very badly as they traded up to get him.

Is this Van Noy throwing shade the Lions way or is this just basic everyday talk from a player who had just been traded? Either way, being a member of the New England Patriots organization is never a bad thing.

Van Noy played in all seven games for the Lions this season, registering 23 tackles.
