Police: Man Sexually Assaults 14-Year-Old Girl On Her Way To School

composite_page1_image1DETROIT (WWJ) -- Authorities in Detroit are asking for the public's help identifying a man who they say sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl while she was walking to school Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in the area of Burt and Davidson Rd. on the city's west side just before 8 a.m.

The man allegedly approached the victim and asked her if she wanted to make some money. Police say when she declined the man grabbed her and assaulted her.

The victim was able to get free and run towards an adult who walked with her to school.

Detroit police describe the suspect as in his mid 30s, approximately six feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has a bushy mustache and drives a white Dodge Ram with black and chrome mirrors.
