WATCH: Matt Prater Drains 58-Yard Field Goal To Send Lions-Vikings To Overtime
After leading much of the day, the Lions fell behind Minnesota 16-13 with just 23 seconds left to play after a late Sam Bradford TD pass and things looked bleak for the Lions.
But then Matt Stafford orchestrated a four play, 35-yard drive that took just 21 seconds to give the Lions a chance at sending the game to overtime if Matt Prater could deliver on a 58-yard field goal.
Prater did just that.
From there, in overtime, Stafford and the Lions' offense did the rest. Stafford connected with Golden Tate on a 28-yard TD to give the Lions their biggest win of the season and pull them to within a half of a game of the NFC North division lead.
