Police Investigate Fatal Shooting In Wayne
WAYNE (WWJ) - A murder investigation is underway in Wayne after one person was found fatally shot overnight.
Officers with the Wayne Police Department responded to the scene at around 12:30 a.m. Monday, in the 35000 block of John R on reports of a shooting.
Police found one person dead from an apparent gunshot wound. No information about the victim was immediately released — including age or gender.
There have been no arrests, no motive is known and no suspects have been described by police.
Wayne police, who are being assisted by Michigan State Police on this case, said they believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public at this time.
