Police: Man Shoots Teen Nephew During Argument On Day After Thanksgiving, Flees

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are asking for the public's help locating a man who is accused of shooting his teenage nephew during an argument on the day after Thanksgiving.

The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. Friday outside a home in the 9000 block of Ward, near Joy Road and Schaefer Highway on the city's west side.

According to police, 48-year-old James Graham was involved in an argument with his 16-year-old nephew, during which he allegedly produced a weapon and fired a shot, striking the teen.

Graham then fled the scene in a powder blue Chevy pick-up truck with a partial Michigan license plate number of "1317."

The teen was transported to a hospital, where he was last reported in critical condition.

Graham remains at large and is to be considered armed and dangerous. He's described as a black male, 5'9" tall and 198 pounds.
