High Winds Could Cause Power Outages, Property Damage On Monday Night

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Batten down the hatches, it could get windy tonight.

As a part of the Hazardous Weather Outlook for southeast Michigan provided by the National Weather Service, the forecast says that wind gusts could reach at least 50 miles per hour with a slight chance of thunderstorms on Monday night.

The storms are not expected to be severe, but high winds could cause property damage and power outages.

The affected counties include Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe.
