Man Shot During Altercation In Roseville; Gunman At Large

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man during an altercation outside of a home in Roseville.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Thursday on Macomb Street, between Church and Oakdale, not far from 10 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue.

Police say the victim, a 50-year-old Clinton Township man, was involved in an altercation with the suspect when the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired off several rounds. The suspect then fled on foot.

The victim was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the hand and groin, and is expected to recover.

State police responded to the scene with a K-9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspect, who remains at large.

The suspect is described as a black male, 45- to 50-years-old, and bald. He was wearing a green coat with fur trim around the hood.

Police are still interviewing potential witnesses and the victim. At this point, investigators say they're not sure of a motive for the shooting.
