Recall: Vegan Mac & Cheese After Reports Of Allergic Reactions
DETROIT (WWJ) - The makers of a vegan macaroni and cheese have issued a voluntarily recall due to a risk of allergic reaction to the product.
Boulder Brands is recalling Earth Balance Vegan White Cheddar Mac & Cheese and Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Mac & Cheese.
Several consumers have reached out to the company concerning allergic reactions suggesting the presence of a dairy allergen.
People with a dairy allergy or sensitivity run the risk of a serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
People who are allergic to milk or dairy products could run the risk of serious illness or allergic reaction should they eat the mac and cheese.
All products expiring in 2017 are being recalled. Theses can be identified by the code embossed on the bottom of the package. The '17' in the code identifies product that will expire in 2017.

The recalled products were distributed nationally. All affected distributors and retail customers are being notified and the affected products are being removed from store shelves.
No other Earth Balance products or any other products produced by Boulder Brands are affected by this recall.
