Pedestrian Struck On 8 Mile Road Thursday

(WWJ) A pedestrian was hit on Eight Mile Road near Lahser Thursday morning, said.

The victim was transported to the hospital. There was no immediate word on their condition.

Detroit fire crews were at the scene, but they are turning the incident over to Southfield Police. It happened at 8 Mile Road and Lahser, on the border between Detroit and Southfield.

It was unknown what caused the incident.

There were serious back-ups on roadways in the area following the incident.
