Tigers Option Joe Jimenez, Purchase Contract Of William Cuevas

DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers announcing a move to Toledo for right-handed pitcher Joe Jimenez.

"Following today's game, the Tigers optioned RHP Joe Jiménez to triple-A Toledo and purchased the contract of RHP William Cuevas from Toledo," the Tigers PR tweeted.

The Tigers were beaten by the Minnesota Twins 11-5 on Thursday - with the move being announced shortly after the loss.

The Tigers take on Cleveland Friday -- the start of a 3-game weekend series.
