DTE Working To Fix Power Outage In Melvindale

MELVINDALE (WWJ) – Residents in Melvindale are waking up Friday morning in the dark.

DTE Energy says a power outage is affecting roughly 1,200 homes and businesses in the city. The outage is concentrated near Oakwood and I-94.

The utility says there’s a problem with the equipment, and crews are currently working to fix the problem.


The power is estimated to be restored around 9 a.m. Friday.
