DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit firefighters are looking for the cause of a fire that engulfed two west side homes Tuesday morning.

The homes, on Griggs near Wyoming and I-96, were vacant.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities say squatters may have been staying in one of the homes, which could have contributed to the cause.

An exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
