Here’s the official answer from our Programming Department.
First Forecast Mornings did not air on WWJ-TV or CW50 on December 23 or December 26 because those days were official CBS holidays.
The program will also be preempted on Monday, January 02, 2012.
JorgeMSU; I’m not trying to be sarcastic, but I thought the question was self evident. For some reason the Local news team of Symma, Randy and Jill are being broadcast in my area, (Ferndale, Detroit) No one from CBS has answered my question. The cable company isn’t much help either. Any ideas? I take it you go to the best College in Michigan, as did I! Good taste in education.

No worries! I assume that the show didn’t air because today is a CBS holiday, but I have an email in with our Programming Department for the absolute best answer.
