so how can I listen to 97.1 now on my android phone, that doesn’t support flash, it worked fine in tune in app up to the middle of aug 2011 ??? is there some other app that I can use for your radio station ?
I actually wrote tune in to update them on the link the other day….here was the response when I asked about the issue….
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue. We are complying with CBS’s request to remove their stations from the TuneIn service at this time.
Sincerely,

I find it kinda strange CBS would limit their own viewers. Radio is a dying breed, eventually will go out like newspaper. They should perhaps reach the audience in every sensible way.
Again, I would assume there is an app with a work around where you can manually enter a link. I have not put in the time to search for such an app. I am a little surprised your Android phone doesn’t support Flash. The Android platform has ran Flash since 2.2 Froyo, which is running on about 90 percent of Android phones (or newer versions 2.3 in ex).
Apparently there still is a mp3 stream, which is indeed compatible with Logitech Squeezebox Boom (and I assume other products). You can just remove the AAC from the original link and the mp3 link was hidden in there the whole time. Here is the fix http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/WXYTFM.pls . It will allow streaming through mysqueezebox.com. I hope this support remains in the future.
As far as my Android devices, tune in app will not allow me to manually enter url. I’m sure there is another app I will find in the future with support.
If anybody needs help manually entering url into the radio, write back and I’ll help. mysqueezebox.com favorite section worked easily enough for me.
I can’t reply to a reply apparently, so I’ll just post normal again.
I’ve done some research for a couple of hours. I am no means am an expert on this subject. The provided link you gave does work…however, apparently a pls file (in the link provided) contains a different URL inside of it. It can be viewed by opening that file in a text (.txt). This paticular file contains 37 links. I plugged them all individually into MYSQUEEZEBOX.COM (favorites section for access on radio) and none work. Let me elaborate. According to the support forums over at Logitech, the squeezebox server cannot play certain AAC files. This AAC file was provided in any of the 37 links provided in the prl. Ugh. I hope this is making sense, because there is more. Why the provider who is hosting this stream recently switched, I do not know. Maybe it is a new provider CBS has signed up for, but according the their website CBS has been in successful business with them for several months. The original stream came from here http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s30370&partnerId=16 . OPML is apprently preferred by these players. I found another unfortunate side effect of the switch, which has a much larger customer base than Logitech. My Android phone cannot stream anymore either. Specifically the TUNE IN app. Same problem there.
Two solutions at this moment. One is to stream (with link Jorge provided) from your Squeezebox Radio Server, rather than MYSQUEEZEBOX.COM. (The radio can play music from two sources). Apparently the server (if windows based) decodes the AAC file before sending it to the player. This is not convenient, as I don’t need my computer when I am away from it to burn electricity in order to listen to radio. My computer uses ~1000 watts, too expensive to leave on for radio purposes.
The other solution would be for the provider of the stream to return to OPML, or other compatible format. With this, I would have 4 methods of listening. My Android cell phone, my squeezebox radio device, web browser, and old fashion over the air. Perhaps there is another stream that already exhist.
Sorry for the mess of words.
Jorge, do you work for CBS or just a member of the forum here? Either way, thanks.
There is always a chance that I am just missing something too.
I wish there was a date on this site so I knew if this is current to my situation. I too use a Logitech Squeezebox – Boom model. It is an internet radio streaming device. I enjoy listening to 97.1 The Ticket in the whole house using this method. The internet stream has been down the last several days using this method -Mid August 2011- Not sure if this is a 97.1 issue or a Logitech issue. However, streaming via web browser appears to work just fine. I want to hear some more trash talk about Inge, please help.

The radio.com app for android can be found here. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.radiocom&hl=en
I have a droid, and can’t listen to the ticket on tune in radio anymore. I really miss it. What can I do?

By the way, the original stream was a mp3 file

I am listening on my squeezebox radio. I miss 97.1 The ticket and you have been off all week. It states that the broadcaster has block the station.
Keith, can you please provide more information about where and how you are listening? On a computer, on your smartphone, URL, app name? Thanks! George
