Jeff DeFran
Jeff DeFran is a versatile veteran of local radio having worked in the Detroit and Ann Arbor markets for over 25 years, returning to WWJ Newsradio 950 for the third time in his career.
He has served local radio listeners as a sports talk show host, sportscaster, news anchor and reporter, as well as working behind the microphone as a program director, news director and sports director. He even played your favorite hits as a disc jockey back in the “80’s”!
Jeff has won several broadcasting awards during his career. He has served as a host for several coaches shows, anchored pre-game and post-game shows for the Detroit Tigers, Lions, University of Michigan football along with Nascar and open wheel racing.
Jeff has lived his entire life in the Detroit area and attended Schoolcraft College and Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. He is a single father of two grown children.
