Kathryn Larson

Kathryn LarsonHey Y’all!

I’m a Southern Belle — learning all about the “Big D” as a Reporter and Producer at WWJ Newsradio 950. When not on the air or behind the scenes, you can catch me out and about reporting human interest stories for CW-50′s Street Beat.

I caught the newsbug early on — and after numerous high school and college internships in my hometown of Nashville, I got lucky — really lucky. How lucky you ask? I landed my first jobs in TV and Radio simultaneously– serving as a reporter for 1510 WLAC during the workweek and as an AP at the Fox affiliate on the weekend.
A short time later, I hopped to a TV station near Charlotte, North Carolina. At TV33, I learned to one-man-band — and anchor a mid-day and evening insert show for air on the HLN Network.
From there, I got hitched– and moved to the Motor City where I’m currently dabbling in both of my loves: radio and TV.

In my spare time, I like spending time with my husband, Andrew, and my Bichon Frise, Mr. Darcy.
