Before 97.1 The Ticket, Kyle was a multimedia journalist for FOX Sports Interactive and Scout Media for five years, also doubled as a radio host on Sports talk 1050AM WTKA in Ann Arbor, and spent six years as a host and producer of a local sports television show.
A fan of basketball; Kyle had plans to sideline the hardwood if he wasn’t able to broadcast above it. “If I didn’t end up going into broadcasting I was set on becoming a college basketball coach.” So, it’s no surprise that Kyle’s sports favorite is San Antonio Spurs head coach, Gregg Popovich. “Gregg…is undoubtedly one of those guys you just wish you could have a couple of drinks with. The guy is as smart as he is real and in a world that needs more of that I find him to be incredibly refreshing.” The 27 year-old explains. Also citing he gets his inspiration from sports anchor Mike Tirico, calling him talented and versatile.
Self admitted but unapologetic golf enthusiast, Kyle spends his time on the course when he’s not behind the mic. “I love to play golf and probably spend a little bit too much time and money doing so but, it’s a major hobby of mine.”
