In support of Detroit youth development through athletic, academic, and leadership programs, CBS EcoMedia teamed up with The Sam Bernstein Law Firm to help Detroit PAL offer safe, reliable transportation to the children served by its programs.

The CBS 62 First Forecast team was on-site (along with some sunny skies)to celebrate the day's festivities at Lighthouse Academy in Detroit.
Water Bottles for the Detroit PAL players!
Playing football worked up quite a sweat! Good thing CBS 62 and The Sam Bernstein Law Firm had some snazzy waterbottles on-site for the Detroit PAL kids. Tim Richey, CEO of Detroit PAL, thanked sponsors for helping the youth teams. He stated, "The van, the first new addition in several years to an aging fleet, will allow us to continue to provide safe and reliable transportation for Detroit PAL's youth for years to come.”
The New Detroit PAL Van
The new Detroit PAL van will serve more than 700 youths each year. The van will allow young people an opportunity to enjoy college tours, once-in-a-lifetime experiences with professional athletes, attendance at professional games and other special athletic events.
The Detroit Dragons Get Into Formation
The Detroit Dragons line up pre-snap! In partnership with the Detroit Police Department and community volunteers, Detroit PAL builds character in young people through athletic and leadership development programs.
A Detroit Dragons Player is Ready For Action!
Last year, Detroit PAL served more than 11,000 girls and boys, with the help of 1,500 trained and certified adult volunteers. Athletic programs include basketball, volleyball, track and field, soccer, baseball, softball, tee ball, lacrosse, golf, contact football and cheerleading.

The skilled O-Line checks their assignments before the snap of the ball. The Detroit PAL program prides itself on building character of young people though sports & activities.
