The kickoff for the newest Detroit summer tradition will be headlined with 21 bands – 20 of which are from Michigan and 1 from Ohio – and all proceeds will go to help fund the non-profit organization 826 Michigan. Mittenfest, 826 Michigan’s winter festival, has been a successful 7-year running tradition in Detroit and has managed to raise over $75,000 in support of its free programs for school aged children.
