Ally Financial, the former General Motors Acceptance Corp., siad Wednesday it had launched a new mobile app designed with direct customer input to make managing auto accounts easy and convenient.
Ally Financial, formerly General Motors Acceptance Corp., Monday introduced a new, interactive Web-based training site for dealers called the Performance Development Center, which provides dealership employees customized training specifically designed for their dealership role.
SmartAuction, Ally Financial’s online used vehicle auction, launched a mobile app designed utilizing dealer input. Users can now search for vehicles, communicate with sellers, negotiate pricing and make bids over Android and Apple-based smartphones.
SmartAuction, Ally Financial’s online used vehicle auction, just sold its 4 millionth vehicle. Established in 2000, SmartAuction is a wholesale Internet remarketing channel for dealers, rental car companies and other consignors seeking to sell or purchase quality used vehicles.
It still owes the government just under $12 billion from a $17.2 billion dollar loan it got during the financial meltdown of 2008 and ’09.
