Human Rights Ordinance On Hold In Royal Oak

A metro Detroit community’s human rights ordinance that would make it illegal to discriminate based on sexual orientation and a number of other factors has been placed on hold as opponents seek to put the issue before voters.

Commission Votes 7-0 To Draft Ordinance To Prevent Discrimination To Gays, Others In Royal Oak

The Royal Oak City Commission voted unanimously to drafting an ordinance to prevent discrimination based on sexual orientation and a host of other things like height and weight during a meeting Monday night.
