A man charged with killing a 14-year-old girl as she walked her dog in Armada has pleaded guilty to a separate drug charge.
The parents of a murdered 14-year-old girl sat in the front row, holding hands, while the man accused in her death appeared in court for an arraignment Thursday.
“We feel like they’re zeroing in on the wrong person and that the real killer of April Millsap is still out there,” he said.
A 32-year-old man who was arrested on marijuana charges is now a person of interest in last month’s murder of an Armada teen.
Authorities are searching a home in Goodells, in St. Clair County, as part of the investigation into the murder of an Armada teen.
It’s like a nightmare from which she can’t wake up, says April Millsap’s mom.
James Bernard Vancallis and James Donald Vancallis of Wales Township are accused of growing marijuana.
April Millsap was murdered July 24 while walking her dog, Penny, along the Macomb Orchard Trail. Her killer is still out there.
State police are cautioning the public not to speculate about two men arrested Wednesday as the investigation continues.
One man was handcuffed and taken into custody, Wednesday, at a home in Wales Township.
