A 55-year-old man charged after authorities say he held police off for six hours outside his Algonac home has collapsed while in jail and died.
The 55-year-old Algonac man who barricaded himself inside his home following a domestic dispute, which prompted a six-hour standoff with police, was arraigned Friday.
Algonac Police say a six-hour standoff with a barricaded gunman has ended after the man was forced out of his home with pepper spray and subdued with a taser.
Guns, alcohol and a domestic argument made for a potentially explosive situation overnight in Sterling Heights.
The man was taken into custody after he spent several hours inside of a west side house holding police at bay.
The barricaded gunman was allegedly standing in the area of Seven Mile and Greenfield firing shots randomly.
