Two separate accidents overnight have claimed the lives of two men.
Oliver Mitevski, of Clinton Township, was driving on 21 Mile Road in Macomb Township when another vehicle crossed the center line and slammed into his car.
A witness said three people loading a motorcycle into a minivan in the middle of the night appeared suspicious.
Instead of stopping, he continued the 26-hour, 1,700 mile journey — the dead woman buckled in the passenger’s seat.
According to police, the suspect entered the store, jumped over the counter, pointed a dark-colored handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
A Detroit-area man says he refused to stop and contact authorities after one of his passengers died during a drive to Michigan from Arizona in part because he feared being incarcerated if police investigated.
It was a long, strange road trip for a 62-year-old Clinton Township man who traveled half-way across the country with a dead body in the passenger’s seat.
“It’ll bring closure to the community, and the surrounding areas, and the other store owners…”
A cash reward has grown to over $20,000 for information that can help solve the case of a Macomb County party store owner who was murdered during a robbery.
Dozens of people were immediately drawn to the party store to share in the grief of losing a beloved community member and business owner.
