“It could have been prevented, you choose not to properly house animals and the end result is the death of our son,” said the victim’s father.
Valbona Lucaj, a native of Albania, and Sebastiano Quagliata, a native of Italy, could be deported after serving their sentences.
At one point, Lucaj told the victim’s family, “I’m so sorry.”
Quagliata and Lucaj are charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man when their two cane corso dogs mauled a man while he was jogging.
