He claimed he was carjacked, but now the father of a missing Detroit girl will stand trial in her disappearance.
An FBI agent took to the stand Thursday in a preliminary exam of the Detroit father accused in the murder of his still missing 2-year-old daughter.
Prosecutors, who say D’Andre Lane killed his 2-year-old daughter while punishing her for soiling her clothes, questioned the child’s mother Friday in 36th District Court in Detroit.
The mother of 2-year-old Bianca Jones, who went missing in December, is formally receiving keys to her Detroit home today.
First on the witness stand was the defendant’s 8-year-old daughter who talked about how her father punished her when she wet the bed.

“Hit her, beat her, no, those things did not happen,” attorney Terry Johnson said. “The term ‘beat’ and ‘hit’ are just absolutely not fair.”
D’Andre Lane, accused in the abduction and death of his missing child pleaded not gullty to murder and child abuse charges.
