A judge has denied defense attorneys’ request to remove herself from a case of a Dearborn Heights man who fatally shot a 19-year old woman on his porch last fall.
Several court filings show Theodore Wafer plans an aggressive defense to murder charges in the death of Renisha McBride.
The driver that hit the car with the children did not stop at a stop sign.
“I believe this man took my daughter’s life for no reason. We just want justice done,” Renisha McBride’s father said.
A toxicology report shows the 19-year-old was more than twice the legal limit and had marijuana in her system when she was killed.
Renisha McBride was shot in the face outside a Dearborn Heights home after being injured in a car accident in the early morning hours.

“Dearborn Heights may have its own Trayvon Martin case. A young African-American woman is dead and the shooter is claiming her death was justified,” Bullock said in a statement.
