Detroit Doc’s Astronaut Training Could Help Physicians On Earth

A surgeon at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit is working with a NASA-funded medical consortium on using ultrasound to diagnose medical problems on deep space missions when astronauts may be months or years from a hospital. And as so often happens, the techniques developed for space appear to have applications on Earth.
