Detroit police plan to step up patrols of some downtown parking areas after more than a dozen vehicles were broken into during a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday.
He was called the Black Widower and in 1994, Lowell Amos killed his wife at the Atheneum Hotel in Greektown and tried to blame it on a night of cocaine-fueled sex.
They arrived and found a 64-year old man on the ground bleeding from his head and mouth.
“Both suspects then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and merchandise from the store. No one was injured,” police said in a press release.
“We don’t trust the consultants they’ve engaged,” an ACLU spokesman said.
Former Chief Ralph Godbee instituted “virtual” police precincts to save dollars, but Craig said he’ll move back to actual stations staffed with real live officers.
No arrests have been made in connection to the murders.
Murder charges have been filed against two men accused of shooting a man to death at an anti-violence vigil.
Officials say the 40-year-old was discovered at the Robert’s Apartments on Grand River near the Lodge Freeway.
Officials say the suspect approached a 51-year-old man at Somerset and Morang near I-94 — and said he was robbing him.
