Less than two months before Detroit’s general election, mayoral candidates Mike Duggan and Benny Napoleon are revealing their plans to reduce crime in the city.
The Board of State Canvassers Tuesday formally certifying Duggan as the winner — after a re-count in 385 city precincts.
It’s official: Mike Duggan won Detroit’s Mayoral primary by more than 20,000 votes.
The Board of State Canvassers will meet next week to go over about 18,000 uncounted write-in ballots from Detroit’s Aug. 6 mayoral primary.
This comes after the Wayne County Board of Canvassers on Tuesday ruled workers in Detroit did not properly count the questionable votes using the so-called “hash mark method.”
