Six New UM Stem Cell Lines Now Publicly Available

Six new human embryonic stem cell lines derived at the University of Michigan have just been placed on the National Institutes of Health’s registry, making the cells available for federally funded research.

Wayne State Students Study Diseases In India

Under a Wayne State University project, Chandramouli Mandalaparty, 19, a student in WSU’s economics department and resident of Novi, and Amardeep Dhaliwal, 20, student in WSU’s biology department and resident of Seattle, provided the village of Doddamuddavadi, India with an ambulance service and hosted a medical camp there to research the factors contributing to diabetes and high blood pressure.
