A judge has ordered a man to stand trial on animal cruelty charges for shooting his own dog in the head with a crossbow. The dog survived.
A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction anyone who is responsible for shooting a dog found near Lahser and Midland on Detroit’s west side on Thursday.
The lawyer argued that his 28-year-old client had “just cause” to kill his own dog.
