It’s Earth Day, 2011. The annual celebration of our planet was inaugurated in 1970 as a way to educate people about the environment and what we can do to preserve it.
The Detroit Zoo will host its annual Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 16 from 9 am until 3 pm. The Zoo-wide event is dedicated to celebrating wildlife and educating Zoo visitors about environmental conservation.
