East English Village
“They want the house, but they don’t want to take care of the outside, and they expect everyone else to.”
Detroit spent as much as $537,000 per home renovating 30 houses starting in 2011 under a federal program to fight blight before selling most for less than $100,000 each.
Over a dozen houses are currently listed on the city’s new land bank website. Today, the home up for bid is at 4184 Bishop, near Mack and Outer Drive, on Detroit’s east side.
Detroit’s East English Village is inviting everyone who is interested in buying a home to take part in their second annual home tour this Sunday.
