Gov. Rick Snyder has signed a law creating a fund to help low-income residents keep their homes warm.
DTE Energy and The Heat And Warmth Fund (THAW) are partnering to present the Week of Warmth celebration in an effort to support the distribution of more than $1 million to help vulnerable Michigan families.
A one-day information session is underway in Detroit, where DTE Energy and Community Energy Solutions are partnering in an Energy Assistance Forum.
Thanks to more than $4 million in grants secured by Wyandotte Municipal Services from the U. S. Department of Energy and the State of Michigan, funds are available over the next few months to provide Wyandotte residents with free home energy audits and free or deeply discounted energy upgrades that will make their homes more comfortable and energy efficient. Every home in Wyandotte qualifies for this program.
