excessive heat warning
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for southeast Michigan, in effect from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Tuesday.
There’s no relief from the heat in sight, with temperatures climbing to 100 degrees or more in several Metro Detroit communities.
There are 19,000 DTE customers without electricity, as temps are set to hit the triple digits. Redford and Ferndale are two of the areas with larger pockets of outages.
Expect another scorcher, as temperatures are expected to rise into the 90’s for the fourth straight day.
Due to the Excessive Heat Warning, all City of Plymouth recreation T-Ball games scheduled for Wednesday have been cancelled.
