Drivers on I-75 in Detroit Friday morning got an eyeful of a massive fire burning across the river at a Canadian food processing plant.
An investigation will be conducted to find out what caused a fire that destroyed a recycling center in Warren on Saturday.
Fire crews were able to contain an early morning blaze before it did too much damage to a popular Oakland County shopping center.
The store is located on McNichols between Joseph Campau and Gaylord.
There were no injuries but a lot of thick, black smoke as a result of a commercial building fire, Friday evening in Detroit.
WWJ received more than a dozen calls from concerned citizens about Friday’s fire.
The fire was limited to one aisle in the store, located 70 miles south of Grand Rapids. Damage is estimated at more than $10,000.
The flames were so thick, several people were trapped inside — unable to get out on their own.
Investigators on the scene tell WWJ they have reason to believe this is a homicide case.
