According to the Seattle Times, the night that Clark allegedly hit his girlfriend at a hotel room in Ohio, a hotel manager confronted the former Michigan Wolverine before he exited the room.
Clark was kicked off Michigan’s team last November after being arrested on assault charges.
The 21-year-old Ypsilanti-area resident had pleaded not guilty in Sandusky Municipal Court to misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and assault.
Hoke characterized the season as disappointing in terms of a lack of execution early but said he has seen significant growth as well.
“I do know we’re doing the right thing for these kids,” Hoke said. “The harsh reality of it is I did the right thing today.”
