More welcome news for drivers as the work week gets underway. The website DetroitGasPrices.com reports that the average price for a gallon of gas has fallen 22 cents in the past week
Expect to pay more for gas as soon as Tuesday, with an expected increase of 10 to 30 cents within the next 48 hours and stay that high for several weeks.
AAA Michigan reports Tuesday is the first time the average price of self-serve unleaded gas has hit $4 across Michigan since Sept. 2008.
Good news at the pumps across Metro Detroit – gas prices have sloped below $3.10 per gallon, down about six cents in the last week.
