February Health Price Inflation Lowest in 14 Years

Health care prices rose just 1.8 percent in February 2012, the lowest rate of inflation since April 1998. Price growth for nearly all health categories moderated, especially hospital care and physician services.

Health Price Inflation Moderate While Spending Growth Jumps, Led by Hospitals

Ann Arbor’s Altarum Institute finds moderate inflation in health care prices, just 2.1 percent in September. But total health spending, led by higher hospital spending, grew by 5.2 percent.
