University of Michigan men’s basketball head coach John Beilein announced today that senior forward Jon Horford will not return to the Wolverine program in 2014-15, planning to transfer for his final season of eligibility.
With an undergraduate degree from Michigan but one more year of basketball eligibility, fifth-year-senior-to-be Jordan Morgan had some options.
On a team with just one junior and one senior, maturity could easily be an issue. For Michigan, with 13 players in either their freshman or sophomore year, the opposite has been the case.
Michigan won again without McGary, the star big man who is out indefinitely with a back injury.
Morgan, who was a member for the All-Big Ten Defensive team last season, has started 95 of his 106 career games and currently ranks tied for 35th all-time with 536 career rebounds.
