Detroit R&B vocalist KEM is bringing in some of his famous friends for a special hometown Christmas show next month.
Capitalizing on his appearance in Whitney Houston’s final film “Sparkle,” two-time Grammy-nominated KEM has completed his first holiday album, “What Christmas Means.”
Universal Motown singer/songwriter KEM is set to make his big-screen acting debut in the remake of the popular 1976 film “Sparkle.”
Detroit’s own GRAMMY-nominated Motown Recording Artist KEM is nearing 500,000 sales and GOLD status with his third album, “Intimacy.”
Kem will donate all proceeds and canned goods collected at the concert to organizations that benefit Detroit’s homeless.
“KEM Live @ Mack & Third” is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 28, at Detroit’s Cass Park. The event will feature “A Message & A Meal” from KEM and special musical guest “Morris Day & The Time.”
Universal-Motown recording artist Kem was on hand to applaud the hard work of the graduates from the 3rd Circuit Adult Drug Court program.
When KEM made his appearance onstage, the sold-out crowd roared its approval.

Kem will headline shows at the Fox Theatre on March 25 and April 10.
